Symdex Limited is in the process of being re-launched. The company will
now focusing on technologies and engineering systems which help the worlds
population to peacefully expand and flourish, whilst at the same time
protecting the environment in cost effective and sensible ways.
This means us all doing "more with less", which is exactly what engineers
the world over are trained to deliver, once they are given even the
slightest opportunity and encouragement. The aim being to do more with less
energy, support more and grow more with less water, do more with fewer and
cheaper more abundant materials. Alongside this the aim to sustain a healthy
environment and wide diversity of species on earth using an array of
cost-effective and imaginative methods that work in partnership and to the
economic benefit of the local people and communities.
My Main focus at the moment is the development of safe and affordable
energy generation technologies of the future...
Conceptual Design of Generation IV Nuclear Reactors - particularly Molten
Helping found a UK based Molten Salt Reactor research and development
programme with the goal of building an operational molten salt reactor in
the UK by 2025.
Helping with the development of cost-effective renewable energy
technologies, such as Tidal Stream energy generation technologies and
Identifying and encouraging young engineers, technicians and
technologists capable of taking leading roles in such research and
Helping build manufacturing and development partnerships between the UK
and the rest of the world to help develop energy generation solutions
appropriate to their needs and the local availability of terrestrial energy
resources (geothermal, wind, solar, tidal, nuclear, bio-methane etc):
particularly some of the most populous developing nations with largest
number of new engineers in future decades China, India, Indonesia, Brazil,
Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh etc. (My own family history links within
the the last two generations being to the UK (where my father and his
parents were born), Pakistan (Rawalpindi where my mother was born, just
before partition), India (where my grandfather was born) and Iran (where my
grandmother was born).
I am a committed, enthusiastic and sometimes controversial member of
Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
